Homeless Prevention Program (HPP)


The Homeless Prevention Program provides support for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The program offers support to find housing and referrals to appropriate agencies and rental supplements. HPP is for individuals and families who are leaving the correctional or hospital system, women who have experience violence or are at risk of violence, youth 19 to 24 years of age, including those leaving the care system, and people of Aboriginal descent.


The client’s needs are assessed, assistance is provided to support clients to achieve their personal goals, as well as connect individuals to stable accommodation and appropriate services. The goal is to support clients to move towards independence and to maintain stable housing.
